The artwork in our HeartFolio Gallery was created by HeartTending Story Painting Workshop participants. Story Paintings are not intended as works of fine art. Rather, they are visually poignant and personal stories that emerge spontaneously, layer by layer, from the depths of the human heart.
Participants are encouraged, while led in guided meditation, to explore the cave of the their own heart, and allow it to speak to them in symbolic imagery and feeling. They then translate the personal images that arise into a form of visual storytelling.
Story Painting is a safe and gentle way to express images or feelings that do not yet have words to describe them.
